Mick St. John
He's tall, dark and immortal. Age: 85; Immortal age: 30; Birthday: November 1922. A private investigator who was turned into a vampire over fifty years ago. His wife, Coraline, turned him on his wedding night.

Mick: "I went to bed a happily married man, and I woke up a monster."
He remained solo for the next thirty years, until a mother came up and said her daughter was kidnapped. He rescued her from his ex-wife, presumably killing her. He remained watch over Beth helping her when needed. (The character Mick, is played by actor Alex O'Loughlin)

Beth Turner
Beth is a thirtysomething reporter for the online news service Buzzwire, she is currently dating Josh, a district attorney, and has been for a year. Although, even after finding out that Mick was a vampire it didn't stop Beth away from Mick. Beth is interested in solving mysteries and constantly looks to Mick for his help.

Coraline:
Although we don't know much about Coraline, what we do know is that she is the one that sired Mick. He had no idea that his bride was in fact a vampire, until their wedding night (Los Angeles 1952).

Mick: I'll love you forever.
Coraline: Forever?
Wanting to be with him forever, she turned him and freed him from death. Thinking that she gave him a great gift, Coraline pledged her love for him. Mick, however, did not feel the same way. A few decades later, Coraline had taken a young girl (Beth), and wanted to create a big happy vampire family. Mick, hired by the girls parents, would not allow Coraline to turn her, so they fought. In the end, the house was up in flames, with Coraline stuck inside as she watched Mick walk away with (a young) Beth in his arms. (The character Coraline, is played by actress Shannyn Sossamon)

Josef Konstantin
Over 400 years old, Josef is Mick's mentor and friend. Not much is known about his past, except he doesn't understand why Mick is so keen on saving humans. He says it's pointless. (The character Josef, is played by actor Jason Dohring)

Guillermo
Guillermo is a vampire that works for the morgue. He allows Mick to come in and investigate various homicides, many vampire related, and also since he works for the hospital has a steady supply of hospital blood that he gives to Mick to drink.

Lieutenant Carl Davis
Carl Davis is a police detective with the Los Angeles County Police Department. He is also a connection to the force for Beth.
